Officers range from useless to overtly malicious, and they’re definitely not the ones to call if you need help. Most gangs in the city, especially the Orphans, have DCPD officers on their payroll who are masters at planting evidence, ruining crime scenes, and starting fights. Some precincts even function as “legal” gang branches and commit crimes outright. These days the actual policing comes from various megacorps’ private police and military divisions.
